About & Disclosures
The 7-OH Recovery Project is a free, science-informed resource for people getting off concentrated kratom and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH). It was built by people who have been through this — and who were frustrated that almost nothing credible and free existed. It is educational information, not medical advice.
How we're funded
This resource is currently provided free, with no monetization. We do not sell products, and we have no referral or financial relationship with any treatment provider — including ibogaine clinics. The free recovery tool and the withdrawal and crisis pages will always be free. If we ever add a referral relationship in the future, it will be clearly and prominently disclosed on the specific page where it appears, and never on the free recovery tool or the crisis pages.
Editorial independence (the part that matters)
Being paid never changes what we tell you. Specifically:
- We only link to supplements and providers we would recommend regardless of compensation.
- Payment never affects our rankings, our red-flag warnings, or the questions we tell you to ask.
- We always show you the free option first. Nothing here is gated behind a purchase.
- If a partner ever pressured us to soften a warning or hide a risk, we would drop them. The honesty is the point.
Medical disclaimer
We are not doctors, and nothing on this site is medical advice. The information here reflects lived experience and a review of publicly available literature. Evidence suggests these approaches help many people, but individual response varies. Always talk to a licensed physician or pharmacist before starting, stopping, or combining any supplement or medication — especially if you take prescriptions, are pregnant, or have a chronic condition. In a medical emergency, call 911 or 988.
